About
LivingOnLinux is a project born out of a simple realization: the tools that give us digital freedom shouldn’t feel like a chore to use. For too long, “using Linux” has been synonymous with staring at a scary black terminal screen, borked wireless cards, and buggy graphics drivers. I’m here to show that you can cultivate a digital life that is private, open-source, and most importantly practical for everyday life.
My goal in this project is to document my journey around using this software to replace not necessarily my work tools, but instead everything I use in my day to day life, phones, tablets, laptops, gaming machines, home automation, and everything else! In the last few years this has become more possible than ever.
- Mobile Linux: Real-world usage of devices like Linux native smartphones and compatible devices like smartwatches.
- Cloud-Free Living: Using tools to own your data without the monthly subscription.
- Practical FOSS: Guides on the best open-source apps for the typical things that people use their technology for everyday.

The best way to see these tools in action is over on the YouTube channel. I do unboxings, demos, development, and step-by-step guides on how to make Linux work for you.
